Embracing Spirituality

I am a spiritual person. By that I mean that I find deep wisdom in my heart and by thinking about what really matters to me. I meditate, I talk to God.

However, I can’t stand how afraid people are to talk about spirit or God. It is okay to talk about what’s meaningful or their purpose, but when you throw God or Spirit in there some people shy people from those conversations.

I also don’t like that new age people are associated with being flaky or out there. As if logic is the only lens we can use to view our world. There is no right way to look at things and although there are some flaky new age folks, many of us are action orientated and operate in this world.

To me, spirit is action. Spirit is joy, love, hope, and compassion.

I am sure that God and spirit bring up fear for many reasons. My point is that they don’t have to. You can reclaim them.

Spirituality to me is what works-it is your truth, not something someone wrote hundreds or thousands of years ago. That only is your truth if you have made it yours. Spirituality encourages you to find your own answers. Other words, songs or people can be of great assistance in determining that. There is no right way to live well.

I believe that if you ask the question “How can I make the most of my life?” you’ll get an answer.

Are you courageous enough to listen?

to step into the unknown and discover what works for you?

I think you are.
