Spirituality and Business

Somehow we got the idea that spirituality does not mesh with business. We’ve got this all wrong.

Our business is our spirituality demonstrated.

What we are here to do is experience the highest vision we have about who we are. It is most imperative that we do this in our professional lives.  Our work allows us repeated opportunities to express who we are.

Everyone is just waiting around for someone to tell them it is okay to express their values or be authentic at their job. When we show up in this way, claiming who we have yearned to be, clients will want to work with us, people will want to collaborate and be around us.

If we don’t use these opportunities in our work and our lives to do this, we do ourselves and the people around us a disservice.

It won’t be easy at first, but eventually it will become second nature. This means you will have the chance to say what you really think and believe through your work. It might ruffle a couple of feathers or surprise some co-workers, but that’s okay. If it is who you are and what you believe, you will create an appropriate time to express that.

Yes, I believe that business and spirituality go together. For if we truly want to improve our world and ourselves, we have to be spiritual in our business settings and have new conversations and interactions. And I’m not alone in thinking this way.
