David believes that we are all here to have an impact. He spends his time working with others to discover how they can best serve others and experience who they want to be.
David naturally propels people to where they want to go. He is patient, loving, direct and compassionate. His clients quickly accomplish and move towards their goals. His clients appreciate his unique balance of heart and action, wisdom and practicality, and playfulness and focus.
David first became passionate about Impact at the University of Michigan where he conducted research on having an impact at work with Adam Grant. Through their consulting and his later work experience, he witnessed the power that Impact framework could have on individuals and organizations. At Google, he strengthened his commitment to impacting others by coordinating the launch of their first course in mindfulness and emotional intelligence. David also worked in health care consulting and nonprofit operations and management.
When he isn’t leading workshops, giving talks or working with clients, David invests his time in his community. He volunteers at the Berkeley Food and Housing project to have a positive impact on the homeless situation in the Bay Area and also coaches youth soccer. He spends the rest of his time doing blues dancing, yoga, and cooking.
David graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Organizational Studies and a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Positive Psychology. At Michigan, he received an award for the best published article from the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship. He co-authored teaching cases and practices on cultivating compassion and resilience in organizations. He became a Certified Professional Coach through the International Coach Academy and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
